The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) is pleased to announce that the 2018 NASCC: The Steel Conference attracted a record attendance of 5,175 in Baltimore last week. The record follows last year’s peak attendance count of 4,597 in San Antonio.

“We had many incredible sessions this year, especially our keynoters,” said Scott Melnick, senior vice president at AISC. “Duane Miller’s lecture on professional and life lessons attracted more than 2,000 people. And Rob Connor’s Higgins Lecture finally made fracture critical understandable for everyone. If you missed the conference, recordings of most of the sessions will be posted on AISC’s website in just a few weeks.”

This year’s conference featured more than 130 sessions covering the latest design concepts, construction techniques and cutting-edge research. And the exhibit hall was buzzing with more than 200 exhibitors showcasing products ranging from fabrication equipment to structural design software. The conference was also packed with networking opportunities, special events and programs
