Lancaster, Pa.-based Armstrong Ceiling and Wall Solutions announced it received the 2019 Manufacturer Visionary Award from the International Living Future Institute (ILFI). The award, which was presented at the Living Product Expo 2019 in Nashville, recognizes industry leadership and its commitment to transparency and healthy materials. Armstrong Ceiling and Wall Solutions received the Living Product Challenge Imperative Certification for its Tectum line of wood-fiber ceiling and wall panels.

James Connelly, vice president, products and strategic growth at ILFI, said, “We have been consistently impressed with the commitment Armstrong has made to ingredient and embodied carbon transparency, the Living Product Challenge, and ILFI’s mission to create a future that is socially just, culturally rich, and ecologically restorative.”

Anita Snader, environmental sustainability manager at Lancaster-based Armstrong World Industries Inc., accepted the award on behalf of the company. “We appreciate ILFI’s recognition of our commitment to transparency and to creating better spaces with the products in our Sustain portfolio,” said Snader. “Our collaboration with ILFI to reach our common goals has been valuable to all of our stakeholders.”
