With the beginning of a new year, one of the goals set forth by Citadel Architectural Products Inc. was three-fold: to relaunch existing social media accounts, recommit to providing frequent and relevant information on those platforms, and reengage with customers on a new level. The result is that you can now connect to Citadel on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter by searching “Citadel Architectural Products” or “@citadel_mcm.”

As social media continues to evolve and grow, so does its usage in the architectural community. With nearly 70 percent of the general population utilizing some form of social media, Citadel hopes to leverage that to communicate not only news about its products, but industry news as well.

According to Sean Walker, marketing manager with Citadel, “Our goal is to further connect with our loyal customers while reaching out to contractors, architects, and building owners who want to learn more about our products and our projects.”

The Consumer Direct Care Network building in Missoula, Mont., was the first example of this effort and was posted to the new accounts on Feb. 1. This project featured 19,000 square feet of Envelope 2000 metal composite material in three different colors and was attached utilizing the field-assembled Reveal System.

This post sets the tone for the types of information that will be provided to those interested in metal cladding and its possibilities. Project posts are slated to be released on a bimonthly basis, along with other company happenings and newsworthy trends.
