Kingspan recently announced that its KarrierPanels can now be equipped with QuadCore Technology, Kingspan’s next generation self-blended hybrid insulation core.

First introduced to the North American market in 2018, QuadCore Technology delivers the ultimate in thermal performance, fire protection and health & wellness—backed by an industry-first 30-year thermal warranty.

Kingspan’s top-of-the-line QuadCore insulation is now an option on all of its KarrierPanels in addition to the standard PIR core.

“QuadCore Technology is a key part in creating buildings that are resilient, cost-effective and healthy for occupants,” said Karim Muri, Vice President of Customer Excellence and Marketing Services. “By offering QuadCore in our KarrierPanels, we are making it easier for architects and specifiers to meet high levels of demand for safety and health.”

QuadCore’s unmatched third-party certifications include GREENGUARD Gold and a Silver Level Material Health Certificate, earned through the rigorous Cradle to Cradle assessment. In addition, QuadCore is Red List Free, so it can contribute to credits in health and wellness certifications, such as WELL, the Living Building Challenge, LEED v4 and BREEAM.

QuadCore also excels when it comes to fire performance and fire resistance; panels featuring QuadCore were the first to be certified to FM 4882 standards for use in smoke-sensitive occupancies. This technology outperforms conventional PIR with reduced flame spread (ASTM E84), higher flash ignition temperature (ASTM D1929) and 20 percent less heat released (ASTM 1354).

Kingspan’s KarrierPanel is a cost-effective universal barrier wall alternative to traditional multi-component wall systems. It works as an ideal barrier wall to support secondary rainscreens systems such as metal or brick façades.

KarrierPanel utilizes Kingspan’s fully engineered KarrierRail to securely and safely transmit loads from a wide range of façade options to the structural supports behing the insulated panel. Other benefits from using KarrierPanels include: eliminated thermal-bridging energy losses, reduced delays in construction and faster building close-in and dry-in for reduced building costs.

In addition to KarrierPanel, QuadCore is also offered in Kingspan’s KS Shadowline, KS Micro-Rib, Optimo and Designwall 4000 panels.
