The Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Association (MBCEA) canceled its 2020 Annual Conference scheduled in Aurora, Colo. May 7 to 9 due to concerns related to the novel coronavirus.

Registrants have three options for refunding fees: refunded in full, transferred to registration for MBCEA’s 52nd Annual Conference in 2021, or donated to MBCEA to offset losses from the event. To request a full refund, transfer to next year’s conference, or donation, email Sasha Demyan at sdemyan [at] mbcea.org. Refunds are processed through PayPal. Checks take 30 to 60 days for processing. Hotel reservations made through MBCEA and Metal Building Manufacturers Association’s (MBMA) room blocks are automatically cancelled by the hotel.

MBCEA stated it is investigating options to coordinate an online presence of webinars, lectures, presentations and roundtables during the planned meeting days of the conference and throughout the year. Those connected with a member-initiated meeting, workshop, exhibitor or sponsor, MBCEA stated the association will send them separate communication about how to handle specific situations.
