The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is granting Honorary AIA Membership to six people for their exemplary service to the architecture profession. This year’s honorary members include:

Zurich Esposito, Hon. AIA;
Nadav Malin, Hon. AIA;
Nancy A. Nasher, Hon. AIA, and David J.Haemisegger, Hon. AIA;
Joseph Simonetta, Hon. AIA;
Julie D. Taylor, Hon. AIA.

Honorary AIA Membership is conferred upon people that have made notable contributions to the advancement of the architecture profession but are not otherwise eligible for AIA membership. In order to be considered for honorary membership, a person must meet all of the criteria to be eligible and be nominated by either Members of the AIA Board of Directors, Strategic Council, chapters, or Knowledge Communities. Nominations are then reviewed and decided by a jury. This year’s recipients were selected by a three-person jury.

Complete details of each recipients’ contributions can be reviewed AIA’s website. In June, AIA will celebrate this year’s honorary members at its Conference on Architecture 2018 in New York City.
