IWR North America, a leading building enclosure specialty contractor based in St. Louis, announces the promotions of Michael Smalley to director of business development and Eric Youngblood to vice president of metal.

“As IWR grows and expands, we continue to invest in our employees,” said Todd Staley, president of IWR North America. “Michael and Eric’s commitment to our organization’s values and strategic initiatives represent the characteristics we look for in our team members.”

Smalley, formerly preconstruction manager at IWR North America, has been with the company for seven years and currently serves as the vice chair for the Building Enclosure Council of St. Louis. Michael led IWR’s preconstruction efforts on key projects including SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital West, Liberty Mutual Headquarters in Texas and GC America Headquarters in Chicago. As director of business development, he will be responsible for identifying and analyzing opportunities for strategic growth and support company leadership in targeted growth and development initiatives.

Youngblood has been with the company for five years and was previously the director of project management at IWR North America. He has worked on several high-profile projects including the Edward Jones National Headquarters expansion, Good Samaritan Regional Hospital replacement facility and Minnesota Vikings Indoor Practice Facility and Headquarters. In his new role, Youngblood will be responsible for managing all resources, revenue and development projects within IWR’s metal division.

“I look forward to watching these individuals develop in their roles and the positive impact they will have on our culture, our people and our clients,” continued Staley. “Their commitment to delivering quality work and elevating those around them will allow them to succeed in their new positions.”
