The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) is pleased to welcome CIDAN Machinery as its newest Associate member. This global company provides cutting-edge sheet metal machinery for architectural metal and roofing, industrial fabrication and other manufacturing purposes. CIDAN, founded in 1907 in Sweden, opened its North American operations in 2007 in Peachtree City, Ga.
“Our members are more important than ever and are at the core of what we do, providing leadership, education and safety guidance for the entire metal building systems industry,” says MBMA General Manager Tony Bouquot. “We are very pleased to add CIDAN Machinery to our ranks. Through top-of-the-line sheet metal tools, innovative software solutions and expert service, CIDAN has been an industry asset for more than 110 years.”
The MBMA serves as the voice of the metal building systems industry, providing leadership, research and education to increase the prominence and usage of metal building systems. MBMA membership consists of three categories: Building Systems members, made up of metal building systems manufacturers; Associate members, which includes metal building systems suppliers; and A/E members, which are architecture and engineering firms and related service providers. Associate members help shape MBMA’s direction and activities through such affiliations as the Associate Member Advisory Council as well as volunteering on MBMA’s committees.
MBMA Chair Steve Browning adds, “During these challenging times we are here to support the industry and our members. In addition to the current health and safety issues, companies today are faced with ever-changing codes, standards and industry advancements. We look out for their interests and help them grow by providing guidance on current best practices and well-researched intel on future trends and market shifts.”
MBMA members work with design professionals, educators, building code officials and others to advance the industry, which produces approximately 28,000 commercial buildings each year. Member benefits include exclusive access to monthly, quarterly and annual statistics, unique continuing education opportunities and publication discounts as well as networking opportunities through the association’s annual and spring meetings.
