McNICHOLS CO. announces the opening of the company’s 19th Metals Service Center.
The 21,000-square-foot facility located at 271 W. 12800 South, Draper, Utah, brings McNICHOLS’ total operational square footage to 725,000, and further connects its network of branches throughout the nation covering all four corners and everything in-between.
Just south of Salt Lake City, the facility is part of McNICHOLS’ Western Region with service centers in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Phoenix, and Denver. Additionally, McNICHOLS operates in the Midwest, Southwest, Southeast and Northeast Regions.
Like other McNICHOLS Metal Service Centers, the Salt Lake City facility maintains an inventory of specialty metals, called “Hole Products,” and provides Value-Added Services, including fabrication options such as cutting, welding, cutouts, custom fabricated stair treads, infill panels, metal finishes and print takeoffs.
“Opening our doors to customers in and around Salt Lake City has been our desire for many years,” said McNICHOLS President Scott McNichols, “This particular geography further enhances our branch network and houses hole products locally for customers, some of whom we have been fortunate to serve for many years,” he said. “We are confident we can further support their growth by having products and services nearby.”
Positioning branches in expanding geographies continues to be a McNICHOLS’ strategy and is consistent with the company adage Inspired to Serve. “Metal products can be a logistical challenge for many because of their weight and size, so to meet the ever-growing needs of our customers we must be local to add value,” said McNichols. “We support infrastructure and architectural applications, and many customers desire to physically explore our products,” he said. “Being in communities where they can choose to stop in is something we don’t want to miss out on. We welcome new customers and old friends.”
