On May 1, National Coil Coating Association (NCCA) President Laura Lanza inducted Dick Groseclose, former owner of GFG Corp., into the NCCA Hall of Fame. The event took place at the NCCA Annual Meeting in San Antonio.

Over the 34 years Groseclose attended NCCA meetings, he was a respected leader and industry advocate on a global scale. He presented papers and participated in industry discussions pertaining to coating and laminating equipment, and he was one of few who understood the global coil coating market.

He attended 54 NCCA meetings from 1965 to 1998, 29 ECCA (European Coil Coating Association) meetings from 1976 to 1998, and he served on the NCCA board of directors from 1994 to 1997. In his global travels for the industry, he was considered the unofficial representative of NCCA.

Groseclose started GFG with two partners in 1969 and became sole owner in 1971. The first ‘G’ in GFG is for Groseclose. The company eventually became a global industry leader.
