To provide the roofing industry with the most comprehensive information about the design, materials and installation techniques applicable to all materials used in steep-slope roof system applications, the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) has released The NRCA Roofing Manual: Steep-slope Roof Systems-2017. The new volume updates the 2013 volume under the same title and serves as a reference for contractors, architects and roof consultants.

The manual consists of five sections addressing materials used in steep-slope roof system applications: Asphalt Shingle; Clay and Concrete; Metal Shingle; Slate and Wood Shake and Wood Shingle. Each section includes information about roof decks, underlayments, materials, design and installation.

The NRCA Roofing Manual: Steep-slope Roof Systems-2017 is best used with the other volumes of The NRCA Roofing Manual: The NRCA Roofing Manual: Metal Panel and SPF Roof Systems-2016; The NRCA Roofing Manual: Membrane Roof Systems-2015; and The NRCA Roofing Manual: Architectural Metal Flashing, Condensation and Air Leakage Control, and Reroofing-2014.

The 2017 volume and boxed set can be purchased in hardbound versions or downloaded for free in electronic format to NRCA members at
